Blood Magic

Vampiric vitae holds many secrets, and blood mages such as the Tremere and Tzimisce have searched for new ways to exploit these since time immemorial. Collectively, bloodmagic is known as Thaumaturgy, though this is normally only applied to Tremere based bloodmagic. Blood magics and rituals are unlike normal disciplines in that they are divided into Paths, each of which has it's own set of rituals depending on the level of mastery the user has attained within that path.

Rituals

Blood magic normally comes set in Paths, with powers that are cast almost instantly. However, failure carries a high price and blood is the normal cost for every attempt. Rituals are the opposite, taking a bit of time to prepare and most likely a mystical reagent, but the results are garantueed making Rituals the most reliable form of blood magic.

 

Thaumaturgic Rituals

Of all clans, the Tremere have probably concieved the most varied repitoire of rituals in their brief existance. Little are the mystical powers that a Thaumaturge could not copy or counter by using a specific ritual. (To learn Thaumaturgy rituals, the user must have a Thaumaturgy rating equal to the level of the ritual to be taught.
